Keep in mind being a vampire or a werewolf leaves you open to some fighter's guild abilities, mainly Dawnbreaker which will hit you hard in a PvP environment.
To actually become a vampire or a werewolf, you need to contract vampirism or lycanthropy respectively. To do this, you have a couple options:
- Contract it from a player
- This is the one I recommend the most. You can have a guild-mate give you vampirism or lycanthropy by going to either a vampire or werewolf shrine with that player in your party and having them bite you. You will contract the disease and the quest to get the skill line should appear within the shrine area.
- Don't pay someone to bite you. There are plenty of people who will do it for free.
- Purchase it off of the crown store.
- Be bitten by NPCs in specific locations. The vampire and werewolf NPCs that can give you the disease spawn at specific locations, you can't just be bitten by any ol' vampire or werewolf. Players do like to grief these spots too… but, if you still want to do it this way, here are the spawn locations of the vampires and the werewolves.
Should you become a werewolf or a vampire?
Ultimately, it is up to you. It isn't mandatory, but these are some conditions when you should consider it. New mobile casino sites.
- Werewolf
- If you're a stamina DPS player; magicka cant make any use from werewolf.
- You want to use werewolf form and focus your setup around it.
- You want to slot the ultimate for extra stamina recovery.
- Vampirism
- Vampirism has changed a lot with Greymoor's release. With this new patch, the primary reason to be a vampire is because you want to use the vampire skills and focus your build around being a vampire. The drawbacks to vampirism are much steeper than they used to be, so you're no longer becoming a vampire for any passive benefits, making it much more similar to werewolf. So now, this line only becomes a good grab if you specifically want to use some of the active skills this new updated skill line offers.

Best Ways to Level Up Your Vampire/Werewolf Skill Lines

Vampire and werewolf are actually incredibly easy to level up to 10. These are the following ways I recommend leveling up the skill lines:
- Vampire: Simply grind experience like you would anything else. Vampire doesnt have any special conditions or requirements for its leveling process, you simply just need to gain experience. To see the best ways to grind up XP, check out this guide.
- Werewolf: Werewolf used to be much more challenging to level up, but now you can level it up from 1 to 10 in about 30 minutes! Werewolf levels up by getting kills, and feeding on corpses allows you to extend your werewolf duration. So simply find any delve/public dungeon with a good circular loop and just run around and slaughter everything. Make sure you feed after you kill packs of mobs to keep the werewolf timer going, and just run around in that delve/dungeon until your werewolf line is level 10!

In some stories it has to do with competition for prey, in some the werewolves exist to protect humans from vampires, and in others there is an ancient feud between the two factions that has continued through the centuries.
There's no right or wrong way to tell a story when it comes to vampire and werewolf fiction. If you think about it, these two make great enemies because they are both powerful creatures (especially at night), who are not known to have any other natural predators. Who better to stop a vampire than a werewolf, or vice versa?
Yet, there is a difference between fiction and myth. Myths may well be stories invented by ancient storytellers to explain the world around them, but at the same time there is plenty of evidence to suggest that many myths have their origin in reality. Perhaps it is a matter of perspective at the time, or a way for ancient people to explain supernatural events with their very limited knowledge of science. Either way, a fictional story can take whatever twists and turns it chooses, while a myth has more of a responsibility to maintain the perspective of the original story.
That said, on this site I try to limit the vampire discussion mostly to the concept of the modern vampire. By this I mean combining the various vampire myths across cultures and generations into one core concept of what a modern vampire would look like and how they would function. It would do us no good to include the various fictional vampire stories that have become hugely popular lately, because we know that these don't necessarily follow the rules of classic vampire mythology (I'm talking to you, Stephenie Meyer).
According to vampire and werewolf mythology, there really is no reason to believe that these beings have ever really had any interaction. There are no historical records of such events, and various vampire-based writings have no mention of werewolves whatsoever. I would think that if they were as big of enemies as modern horror authors suggest, there would be some consideration of them somewhere.
Of course, these are both creatures who endeavor to stay hidden from the human race, so who knows for sure if they have interacted or not? I'm not saying it's impossible, but I don't really see any reason to think that they hate each other, or even know each other. It does make a good plot device, though, doesn't it?
